Here are just a few ideas to help get your creative and salivary juices flowing!

Intro to Scotch: Explore the wide spectrum of flavours offered in Scotch by sampling whiskies made with different production techniques and matured in various cask types. If you think you don’t like whisky, maybe you haven’t found the right one yet!

Cask Maturation Types: Sample Scotch whiskies aged in different types of casks such as ex-bourbon, sherry, port, wine, rum and cognac.

“Surprise Me” Blind Tasting: Whisky aficionados and novices alike can’t help but have preconceived notions about what they like and don’t like. Challenge your tastes buds and senses with a blind whisky tasting, rank what you tried, and enjoy the grand finale big reveal!

Something Old, Something New: Is age just a number? Can a non-age statement whisky be every bit as good, if not better, than a Scotch that has been cask matured for much, much longer? Try a little from column A and a little from column B to judge for yourself!

Independent Bottlers: Sample whiskies bottled by independent bottlers rather than the distillery itself, discussing the role of independent bottlers in the Scotch whisky industry and their impact on flavour diversity.

Legendary Distilleries: Learn about the significant people, periods and events in whisky history while sipping drams from the distilleries and brands that have made Scotch what it is today.

Cask Strength Whiskies: Experience the full intensity of whisky by tasting undiluted cask strength (and batch strength) expressions, while discussing the impact of higher alcohol content on flavour and aroma.

Blends, Grains & Single Malts: Traverse the differences between single malt and blended Scotch whiskies, discussing their production processes and flavour profiles.

Scotland Whisky Regions: Try whiskies hailing from each of Scotland's six whisky regions - Highlands, Lowlands, Speyside, Islay, Campbeltown and the Islands.

Age Statements Only: Delve into the influence of aging on Scotch whisky by sampling expressions with different age statements, such as 10, 12, 18 year olds or even older.

New Kids on the Block: The 21st century ushered in a new golden age of innovation in Scottish whisky distilling and single malts. No tasting on this subject is complete without sampling drams from Daftmill, Lindores and Ardnamurchan.

Vertical Tasting: Sample multiple expressions from the same distillery, to observe both continuity and variation in flavour profiles due to how each whisky is produced and matured.

Sherry Bombs Only: Indulge in the jammy, dark-fruit, cinnamon and chocolate richness of sherry cask matured and finished whiskies. Raisins, figs, dates and Christmas cake never tasted so good!

Smokey Whiskies Only: Do you lay awake at night thinking about peated phenol counts in particles per millions (PPM), and if the measurements should be taken from kiln-dried barley, the distillate itself, or maybe even both? Let’s drink drams from the likes of Ardbeg, Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Port Charlotte, Octomore, and possibly a few surprises from non-Islay distilleries.

Game of Thrones: Whether you drink whisky and know things like Tyrion Lannister, or know nothing like Jon Snow, chances are you haven’t tasted many of Diageo’s Game of Thrones whiskies yet. Take a trip to the realms of Westeros and journey across the Seven Kingdoms. Send a raven if interested.

Silent Distilleries: Take a rare and poignant exploration with this tasting event, showcasing drams from closed or silent distilleries - each sip a whisper from the past, capturing the essence of bygone eras in every glass.

American Bourbon & Rye: Get your kicks on a journey through the heart of American whiskey with our bourbon and rye tasting, where the bold character of bourbon meets the spicy allure of rye.

Whiskies of the World: Thrill to the adventure of tasting a diverse selection of whiskies from renowned distilleries around the world, each offering a unique expression of craftsmanship and flavour.

Scottish Gin: Elevate your senses with a variety of gins and tonics, complete with complimentary garnishes to elevate each expression’s botanical beauty and artisanal craftmanship.
